Mission Statement

Vision Statement

In three years, the Broome County Council of Churches will be an organization that collaborates with many facets of our community.   It acts as a hub whose spokes reach out to various businesses, constituencies and congregations in the community to bring them together to serve and educate those in need in order to effect and advocate for the common good; and furthermore it will serve as an incubator to develop programs that can provide more localized service that can be replicated.

Work Plan

1. Volunteer Management

Goal 1 – To enable volunteers to identify areas that will provide the use of their expertise and interest to serve those in need.

2. Program Growth and Development

Goal 2 – To significantly expand and strengthen the programs that will impact new and traditional clients we serve.

3. Communications 

Goal 3 – To enhance both external and internal communications that will provide greater understanding of the programs and services we provide.

4. Education and Advocacy 

Goal 4 – To better educate and empower the individuals that we serve by providing skills that will teach them “to fish, not just receive fish”.

5. Finance

Goal 5 – To enhance long-term financial security.

6. Facility

Goal 6 – To maintain state-of-the-art facilities, technologies, and operations.
