COMMUNITY HUNGER OUTREACH WAREHOUSE

CHOW, through its network of 30 food pantries located in Broome County Congregations and over 30 soup kitchens and community meal programs, distributes over 130,000 pounds of food each month.

Deacon Edward Blaine – Director

Deacon Blaine has been the director of the CHOW Program since July of 2004.  Before that he was Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Broome County Council of Churches.  He is an ordained deacon in the Roman Catholic Church, ministering at St. James Parish in Johnson City.  Before joining CHOW, Deacon Blaine worked in parish ministry at several Broome County Catholic parishes for over 25 years.

CHOW, the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse feeds the hungry of Broome County through its network of over 30 food pantries and over 35 soup kitchens and community meal programs.  CHOW distributes about 2 million pounds of food each year.
